課程概述 |
本課程將以物質記憶和當代生活的關聯為主要關注焦點。由於物的實體性和可延續性，是可以承載時間銘印記號的所在，許多社會運用物（包括可移動的文化器物和不可移動的景觀和聚落等）作為文化記憶的輔助器或儲藏盒。因此，課程將透過物質變遷後意義的延伸或轉型，探討物質文化研究的方法論，思考物件反映文化型式或連結文化觀念的可能模式。並且檢視物件「具體化」的過程，如何生產與再現文化價值，以及如何透過物質特性累積身體經驗與過去記憶。除此之外，討論也將涵蓋當代蓬勃發展的物質與非物質文化資產相關議題，討論文化遺產、當代認同和文化權力等關連。 |

課程目標 |
本課程將以物質、身體感官經驗與過去記憶,以及文化遺產和當代社會生活為主要討論範疇，主要透過經典著作的閱讀討論，分析不同研究方法和取向。藉此讓修課同學可以掌握人類學相關研究成果和貢獻，以及檢討不同研究方法的問題和限制。相關閱讀主要分為三個部分：（1）物質取向研究與物質性；（2）文化商品與變動中延續的記憶；（3）遺產觀光 |

課程要求 |
1、本課程主要限定由博士班預備展開相關博士論文研究計畫的同學修習。
2、課堂閱讀報告討論：每位同學每隔二至三週提交課程指定閱讀經典文獻的評論報告，並進行口頭報告，提出對於閱讀文獻中研究方法、觀點取向、內容結構和論述邏輯的分析討論。預計本學期討論4至5本專書。
2、期末研究計畫發表與書面報告：每位同學根據自己的研究興趣，進行資料收集彙整，並且運用閱讀文獻中提出的議題、觀點或研究方法，進行對話和討論。每人約30分鐘口頭報告、20分鐘評論；期末報告需完成約15頁分析或評論報告。。 |
